The representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), has commenced full rehabilitation of a block of seven classrooms, staff and Principal offices at Luwasa Junior Secondary School, Ijede.
The rehabilitation of the block which has been dilapidated and not healthy for academic activities, was part of the lawmaker’s electioneering campaign promises that he has been fulfilling.
When THE IMPACT visited the school last week, the roof of the building and ceilings have been replaced with new ones.

The project includes rehabilitation of toilet facilities within the building, replacement of metal doors and windows, repair and repainting of wall finishes, rehabilitation of the floor and installation of new plumbing systems and sanitary fittings.
Others are upgrading the electrical systems, repair and repainting of external kerbs and steps and supply of modern desks. He has also supplied chairs to the school to enhance classroom functionality.
Hon. Aro, who is an alumnus of the school, speaking with THE IMPACT on the phone, said that the school is going to be fully rehabilitated and made to function very well.

He said further that his intention is to inject new lease of life into schools in his constituency by directly intervening when necessary, and also facilitating government interventions.
So far, the Ikorodu Constituency II representative has facilitated the construction of a block of 18 classroom, renovation of six classrooms and an office with toilets and the raising of the existing perimeter fence for improved security, at Reri Senior Secondary School, Reri in Igbogbo.
In addition, he has also facilitated intervention by the Lagos State Government regarding the ongoing renovation of eight classrooms with toilets, renovation of six additional classrooms, structural reinforcement of three classrooms and raising of the existing fence to ensure privacy and safety, at the Local Government Primary School, Oreta.

At Lajo Junior Secondary School, the government, through the Special Committee on Rehabilitation of Public Schools (SCRPS), is constructing a functional 18 classroom structure and also constructing a reinforced fence on a raft foundation, building two houses and a food shed. These projects were also facilitated by the lawmaker.
The Principal of the Luwasa Junior Secondary School, in company of her assistant, took our reporter round the facility and were full of commendations for the first – term lawmaker whom they described as a God sent and caring representative.
The principal explained that the particular building was dilapidated to the extent that rain usually disturbed academic exercise.
